Final E110 blog post part 2

So basically my plans for the Summer are pretty basic. I plan on paying extra close attention to the NFL because the more you know when the season starts the more fun it is to watch. When your listening to sports radio you hear about all the NFL tryout guys and how some might make it to the NFL. There is no story greater than watching an un-drafted guy make it in the NFL. The preseason is important because it gives many of these tryout guys experience. If one of them makes the roster they immediately are gonna be a fan favorite because of the story. An example of this is Tony Romo. Say what you will about him but when people mention undrafted players he is always the first name brought up because of his undrafted status. As fans we root for the underdog, and if we pay attention to new players coming out of college undrafted it makes the NFL season so much more fun. Besides that over summer I plan to work a lot. Currently I work at Klondike Kates and Gregory automotive. All the while when i'm working, i'm usually listening to sports radio. I'm going to enjoy not having to do all the homework required for school which was very terrible. All my wasted time doing homework I can now make money. Summer for most is a time to have fun but its all about making money for me. I don't want to end up being one of those people eating romen noodles every night in college because they chose to have fun instead of work.

Final e110 blog post

As a farewell to e110 I feel I should critic the class a bit. The class seemed almost open ended and without structure. This was difficult to get used to because we as students were so used to being told exactly what to do and when to do it. An example of this is word count. I feel that a word count is necessary because then we will all be on the same page when discussing papers we write in class. Overall I enjoyed e110 more than most of the other literature and writing courses I have taken simply because It was less reading and I do not like to read. Another thing I liked about the class is that there were no required annotations with any of the reading we did. I feel annotations take away from your focus when reading because you constantly have to think about whether or not something is worth annotating. In previous classes when I was required to annotate, the annotations only served as a grade and never helped in the long run. I also enjoyed that in E110 there really wasn't any tests or quizes. The closest thing to exams we  had in it was writing papers. I liked this aspect of the class because it was very open ended and didn't require much studying of hard facts.
One major detraction to the class is that Mr. Jadick is a Giants fan. Eli Manning is the worst quarterback of all time and Odell Beckham Jr.'s hair looks like macaroni and cheese. Now it could be worse. At least Mr. Jadick is not an Eagles fan. Overall I would recommend this class to incoming seniors as it provides you with a college credit.

Where will Adrian Peterson go?

I dont know. Where is there an open starting spot for a 32 year old running back who hasn't proved his worth for over a year. For the money he wants (up to 20 million dollars a year). As a backup if he takes less than 3, every team would be willing to do that but he simply is too much of a risk for NFL teams. His best option is to either retire or take a smaller contract and stay in Minnesota where he belongs.

Brock Osweiler

Brock Osweiler got traded to the Browns. It wasn't really a trade, the Texans gave the Browns a 2nd round pick to take the horrendous quarterback. Funny thing is the browns are probably going to cut him and persue Jimmy Garrapolo. This is more proof that the Cleveland Browns are where Quarterbacks go to die in the NFL.

Landing spots for Brandon Marshall

Yesterday Brandon Marshall got released by the New York Jets after having a down season. He suffered through injuries and poor quarterback play throughout the year. Now that he is a free agent and recently had a bad year he may be cheap. Because of the relative low cost of his potential new contract teams like the Cardinals, Rams, and Eagles come to mind as teams that need a decent receiver. But, because he is used to getting paid extremely well he may go to a team that will overpay him like the 49ers or the Browns.

Where will tony romo go?

The answer is simple, Houston. Houston is ideal because they have all the pieces in place to make a championship run. Tony Romo is much better than Brock Osweiller so it would be a good fit. The only issue is Brock Osweillers contract is huge and the Texans may not be able to have two quarterbacks with these contracts on their roster. They are stuck with Brock, his cap hit would be crippling if they were to cut him. If they restructured his deal they would be stuck with paying the bulk of his contract on the later end of his contract which isn't ideal. Brock Osweiller isn't a starting caliber QB so essentially they are paying their backup like an expensive starter. Romo would have to take a pay cut and then be traded to the Texans. This is the most likely scenario. The most ideal for the Texans would be for Brock to take a pay cut and stay as the backup, but he is guaranteed money, and it appears he isn't going to take a pay cut.

Tenessee is awesome

Tenessee recently passed a law that if protesters are blocking travel on roads drivers are now allowed to hit them with their cars. This is great because these roadblocks make protesters look like their against progress by halting traffic. Protesting is perfectly fine just do it with in reason. If you are willing to stand in front of someone on a road and shove your views down their throat, the driver should be allowed to hit you without repercussion.
