Why the United States should leave the UN

The United States has long been considered the guardians of freedom across the world. One of our first post World War II actions of this was to Join the United Nations which has the goal of preserving peace throughout the world. The UN provides aid to other countries and peacekeepers from member countries to keep peace and provide relief in 3rd world countries. But, the system is extremely flawed. Since the majority of the countries in the world our part of the UN it creates conflicts of interest and many times the UN peacekeepers are not allowed to "keep the peace". For example during the Rwandan genocide peacekeepers were not allowed to make contact with insurgents even though insurgents were shooting at them. If this isn't flawed enough the aid that the UN provides (a majority of it is from the United States) is inadvertently destroying 3rd world economies. When large amounts of food enter a countries economy, the price of domestically created food plummets and people leave jobs in the fields. This cuts the base of the economy off and makes them economically reliant on the UN which halts all progress. The best example of this is Haiti, after the earthquake aid was provided, and now years later their economy is trash.
